Rooney fully motivated

Wayne Rooney cannot understand why some people might question United's thirst for Europa League action.
Somebody who approaches every match as though it was his last, despite reaching the pinnacle of the game, the striker's much-respected enthusiasm will not be dimmed by participating in Europe's second-tier competition.
The fact that Ajax, one of the giants of the sport, provide the opposition will add to the occasion for the Reds' top goalscorer.
"Ajax and Manchester United are two massive clubs," he stated. "Who wouldn't want to play in this game? You look at the squad and there's motivation and desire in every training session.
"When you play in front of thousands of people, you want to win - you want to do yourself proud and your team proud. We'll definitely be going out there trying to win the game.

"There are a lot of quality teams in the tournament and it's going to be a challenge. It's one we want to accept. We want to get to the final and win it, regardless of whether that's against Manchester City or a team from Italy, Holland or Spain."
